Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 18, 2026

MyAutoTriage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates myautotriage.com, a website offering free auto-insurance-claim calculators, letter-generator tools, and educational articles. This Privacy Policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used only to operate, secure, and improve the site (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing errors) and is not linked to your identity.

Our Calculators and Letter-Generator Tools

All of our calculators and demand-letter generators run entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. The numbers, dates, and case details you type into these tools are processed on your device only — we do not collect, store, or transmit that information to our servers, and we cannot see what you enter.

Information You Provide Directly

  • Blog comments: if you leave a comment on an article, WordPress collects the name, email address, and (optionally) website you enter, along with your IP address and browser “user agent” string, to help detect spam. If you check “remember me,” a cookie saves this information for your convenience on future visits. Your comment and the name you enter are displayed publicly; your email address is never shown publicly.
  • Contacting us: if you email us directly (hello@myautotriage.com), we receive whatever information you choose to include in that email, and use it only to respond to you.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies required for the site to function (for example, remembering your comment details if requested). If advertising or analytics services are enabled on the site (see below), those services may also set their own cookies, as described in their own privacy policies.

Advertising

At the time of writing, this site does not yet display third-party ads. We intend to use Google AdSense in the future to support the free tools on this site. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices. This policy will be updated with more detail once advertising is active.

Analytics

We do not currently run any analytics or tracking software on this site. If we add a service such as Google Analytics in the future, this section will be updated to describe what is collected and how to opt out.

Third-Party Links

Our articles may link to outside websites (for example, an insurer, a government agency, or a state department of insurance) for reference. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites, and we encourage you to review their own policies.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes. Blog comments are retained until you or we remove them.

Your Rights and Choices

You may ask us to delete a comment you left, or ask what information we hold about you, by emailing hello@myautotriage.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us and we will do our best to help.

Do Not Track

Our site does not currently respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as there is no common industry standard for how to do so.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we enable advertising or analytics. The “Effective date” above will reflect the latest revision.
